2 weeks off from life - needed it like a hole in my head. Enjoyed just being in the moment and not worrying about calories or workouts. Slightly surprised by how quickly weight piles on. Also noticed that I was sliding back into eating my feelings. Easing back into things from today.

Have a lovely week FS peeps😊🍁👊🏾. How do you plan meals/workouts when on holiday to minimise the damage?

that's not too bad for 2 weeks. Not that I have holidays/time off when you have kids you don't get to have that luxury (unless they have grandparents that have the space to have them then lucky) but you just have to be disciplined like you would be when your not off. But I think we all know that you like your takeaways 🤣 delete those apps!!!!! buy nice healthy food and cook from scratch then you know exactly what's going in your body! and if you don't get your arse back on track I'm gonna go crazy on your ass I might even ignore you for a week you'll miss me sooo much you'll start being good. 😂😉🤭

I'm just back from a week off too, Suma. I needed the break and feel the better of it. I put on weight too. It hasn't gone yet. I see it like a U shape curve. You are doing good then things start to slide and you are at the bottom of the curve, taking time off. Then, you have to slowly climb back up. One meal at a time, one exercise session, one snack at a time. 😃

Suma I told you what you need to do. no more takeaways. Start moving your butt again and like Dani said buy fresh food in so you're cooking from scratch. buy more fruit too for snacks. And like Dani you know I'll flip out on you if you don't sort it out and I'll also stop talking to you for a week too.🤭😂😂😂

I already have a month off, but I haven't gained any weight. In these weeks I consumed ready-made meals, sweets and PepsiCo. So the secret is "when I change my food I change my daily routine" which means I will surprise my body with a high active system and my body will not adapt to this new which will lead to using new muscle and eventually I will get a high metabolism

I took 2 weeks off too . but on hols I kept up the walking and was mindful of food but if I wanted a desert or something a bit naughty of have it . this is a lifestyle change not a diet . so habits have to be broken. don't beat yourself up. Good luck

Thank you all you fabulous peeps for all the advice and wonderful support💙💙. You are always there to remind me and pick me up. Let's see what this week brings. The main habit I need to break is emotional eating - I have two deadlines this week. So instead of focusing on them, I eat. Eating makes me feel like I'm doing something so I'm not technically procrastinating. When I think back, I first got into this habit over a decade ago. It's not an easy habit to break, but there must be a way!

Old habits are so hard to break, I think you’re doing amazingly! I know it’s harder to come back after time away so lots of credit to you 💪😊

Suma, I always tackle the hardest jobs or the phonecalls I am dreading as early as I can in the day. Then I feel better about myself and can tackle anything else with gusto!

Suma are you okay

Suma you are the best🌺🌺😊 Try to eat rice cake, when I feel anxious I eat it. Since it's low in calories and crunchy too, I de-stress and don't gain weight. 🌺🌸💐🌾🥀🌷🌹🌻🌼”I have sent all flowers “😂😂

Suma...u already know what I'm going to say...Insight Timer app, meditation, type in emotional eating and lots of things will come up, if you can get ur mind in a lovely relaxed state in the morning, the day will be less stressful and you'll be less likely to emotionally eat,,,I have to put myself into a zen like coma every morning to cope with the day,,give it a try,, meantime here's a great big hug just for you 🤗🤗❤️

Hi Suma, a kilo isn't that much, if you've been running your glycogen low then you can put that on really easily and take it off again easily too. I weigh myself daily and the glycogen/water rollercoaster is enlightening. When I'm on holiday I don't plan meals and workouts. I always try to get out somewhere for a walk, because there are mental health benefits as well as fitness/steps etc. For meals I just keep in the back of my mind not to overdo it, allow myself to relax, try not to make snacking a habit and plan for some lean days when I'm back on plan. Don't stress about it, stress makes you put weight on too! x

I will sound like a bossy know-all, but I wanted to tell you that when you “need something like a hole in the head”, it means you DON’T want it or need it!

I know Trytry...I didn't need the break! That was my point! 😂😂. But I had leave to take or I would have lost it, so I was forced to take it.
