I can’t work out if you really like them, or really dislike them so holding them at arms length 😂😂

Jamie, I was a little concerned by the chestnut with albinism, so it gave me pause😂

I studied philosophy at college and uni Suma...I've read a few of his papers and this book is a classic ❤️

@Booty, that must have been so fascinating. Wish I'd done philosophy or history in uni. I dabble in classical literature, but what a privilege to learn it properly - you're so lucky💙

@Jamie...cook them?😱 Having never roasted chestnuts, not a clue where to start😂

@Janus, nature really is unmatched isn't it? @Marge, I love it too, not being in lockdown makes it extra special this year💙🍁

Don’t eat those! They look like horsechestnuts! (Conkers) Only eat chestnuts which come out of little hedgehog-like caskets.

Thanks Trytry. They were in these prickly green cases...it was quite tricky getting the chestnuts out...wasn't planning on eating them, didn't realise they were edible. But now it sounds like they aren't?

No, I wasn’t trying to poison you 🤣

I am in fear for my life😱

Sweet chestnuts have a little pointy top. Conkers (horse chestnuts) are rounder and shinier.

Thanks Trytry...They are forming part of my fall decor. I love this site...I'm always learning😊. I think Jamie was trying to poison me😼🙄

What a lovely post Suma🍂🍁🌰 Your coat is cute. Is it already that chilly there? It’s still warm in Washington DC.
