Sometimes stress can cause hair loss. Perhaps it is a coincidence? I use Nourkrin (expensive) or teff (cheap) if I feel my hair needs a boost.

I’m told it happens when you don’t eat enough protein

I’ve been loosing my hair a lot since on my weight loss journey. I eat more than enough protein trust me. I’ve noticed it too. I take supplements now to help but it’s also a factor of seasons changing. I’m very sensitive (hair wise) to that too.

I also do intermittent fasting, which maybe is a thing ? 🤷🏽♀️

Hi Anne, yes stress is definitely a factor but I think the IF isn't helping. Nourkrin looks promising-will explore. Thanks

@razor123, I'm really struggling to exceed 20% protein per day. I eat fish mostly, some chicken and lamb. Will need to figure out how I get more protein in.

Hi Kate, what supplements do you take? Has it made a difference?

It could also be iron levels or low on b12. I’m anaemic and my hair falls out a lot if my iron levels get too low

Phyto Phytophanere Dietary Supplement is the one I use for hair, it’s a French brand I love and trust. I’ve only started a week ago but yes I can already tell a huge difference. How I increase my protein intake is I have a diet protein shake everyday after my work out and it does a fantastic trick. But if you google protein foods there’s plenty you can do with that. Fake bacon is also one of my fave protein tricks ! Good luck hun, I’m happy to help if you need anything ! Xxx

Carly, you might be right. I was given iron supplements a couple of years ago by my gp, but I just couldn't tolerate them.
Kate, where do you get the supplements from, looks like you can't buy it off the UK site. I've ordered quite a few multivitamins. Need to find a yummy vegetarian protein powder.

Did you have covid in the past 3-4 months by any chance?

The teff I mentioned is a great source of iron and vegan friendly. I mix it through my porridge. I think the nourkrin may have shellfish extracts.

You need to make sure you are eating enough protein and fat. Protein not les than 2g/1kg, fat 0.8g/1kg of your body. Otherwise you will start to have problems with health.

Hello dear, yes I had same problem 4 months ago. I had iron level low then I started taking iron tablets with lemon water, oiling hair once or twice a week and also started taking hair vitamins which really helped and started to reduce hair fall.

Hair, muscles, skin, nails - all protein. Try to increase the level of protein intake. But don't forget about fat as it's women's health.
