White Bloomer

A simple recipe that produces delicious bread just the way you want it.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Put the flour, salt and yeast in a bowl. Add the oil and water into the flour and mix them with a dough hook. Mix well and add more water if needed.
  2. Kneed on an oiled surface for 10 mins, put in a clean oiled bowl and cover with cling film to rise. Place in warm temperature room until double in size.
  3. Knockback and flatten, fold into a sausage shape and place on a greased baking sheet with seam downwards. Cover again with cling film and leave to double in size again.
  4. Sprinkle with water and flour, cut 4 cuts into dough, and place in a 220C oven for 25mins. Put a tray of water in the bottom of the oven to create steam. Turn down to 200 and bake for 10mins more. Cool on a rack before slicing.
