Turkey, Spinach & Tomato Pita Pizza

A whole wheat pita with turkey, spinach, tomato and fat free mozzarella as toppings.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 325 °F (160 °C).
  2. Prepare pizza pan by spraying with extra virgin olive oil cooking spray.
  3. Make thin layer of cheese on whole wheat pita, then add sliced turkey breast, fresh spinach, thinly sliced roma tomato, and finish by adding the rest of the shredded mozzarella cheese to the top.
  4. Place in oven, and leave until pita begins to get crispy, and cheese is melted, about 5-7minutes.
  5. Garnish with fresh basil and enjoy!

this is a really great meal for lunch quick and easy! I replaced the turkey, tomatoes and olive oil and just added 2 TBSP of pizza sauce and a little extra cheese still came out the same calories

I can't wait to try this. I love the idea of spraying on the extra virgin olive oil cooking spray. I'm getting this on my next shopping trip! Thanks for the recipe

I like this because it's easy and quick, perfect for when you don't feel like cooking! It's also easy to grab the ingredients throw them in the lunch box and head out the door for work in the morning. I never thought of using pita bread for pizza crust. It works!

Sounds Yummy! To SCROOK1, I use the low carb pitas and flat breads for the ones I make for my diabetic fiance. Maybe that could work?

Sounds pretty good. I'd add fresh mushroom and slices of onion, maybe a few sliced black olives. Yum!
