Finally actually slept pretty well. YAY!! Only awake 3 times during the night so much better. Hit the snooze an extra time so only a few minutes for coffee before hitting the shower so I don't miss my walk. Will be glad when the bridge re-opens as we won't have to leave early.

Maybe no rain today so maybe a ballgame after work, all maybes with this mud. Hauling stuff for a food day is a pta. Just remembered I have to cart stuff to work and then home. Should be interesting, I doubt if anyone there has ever had red rice.

What is red rice? I'm interested to know that!

It's this goopy stuff that takes about three lifetimes to cook. Loaded with antioxidants. Good stuff if you can spend the time making it... if I'm thinking of the right thing.

i have trouble sleeping too. now i have to take my synthroid right when i get up and then an hour later take my prilosec, and then not eat until 30 minutes after that. i like to eat when i get up so i usually take those two in the middle of the night when i get up to go to the bathroom. i don't like the interrupted sleep but i really have to eat right away.

Sorry you are having trouble sleeping, hope that's a temporary problem. Synthroid is an ongoing med. I'm on the downhill slide on the med. The otc med is helping, slept through 9minutes of my alarm this am!! Not like me I'm usually awake before it goes off but have not been able to get to sleep on my usual workday schedule. Will take it tonight and try the weekend without it. Don't like taking any extra drugs. My job is demanding re: detail so without sleep it is hard for me to focus. Walking in the am is thankfully helping counteract the effects of less sleep.

Deb, red rice is a whole grain rice, similar in nutrition to brown. NM it takes less time to cook than the brown, if you have had gooey, it's way overdone LOL. It has a rich nutty flavor and I just really like it. Most of it available here is grown in California. I use it instead of regular rice almost all the time, unless I do Thai then it's a brown jasmine. I buy it in an oriental market. There is also a black rice, haven't tried it yet but will.
