Yesterday turned into a rather lazy day with it raining almost all day. So slowly worked on re-organizing my kitchen as I do not have food and seasonings where I want them. Cleaning my closet pantry I discovered duplicate containers of several items. Since I eat primarily plant based I have a lot of dried legumes, whole grains and whole grain pastas. Also with my interest in the world's cuisines I have lots of herbs, spices, and seasonings yielding lots of containers of non-perishable ingredients. I'm tired of hunting for what I need. Along the way: lentils cooked and a tomato, fresh basil and olive oil salad made to marinate. Better after sits a day or so.

I didn't eat much as lunch filled me up, had a late afternoon snack of toast and cherries waiting for the rain to quit to get herbs from the yard. Wasn't hungry after that. One blessing of whole plant based foods is that they satisfy and keep you that way for a long time.

1/4 cup each of cooked lentils and spelt mixed together for breakfast this am so good. More rain predicted for today and too wet to work outside my coop is basically sitting in a mud puddle. Basic chores, continue to work on my kitchen, some food prep for the week and a TRX workout are in order for the day.

Sounds like your day was used up well. Have you completely given up meat now?
