I will spend my break setting up my fit bit on my work computer the rest f the way, hopefully I can set it to fit me. Also hoping to find the pdf manual and print it. They are letting us download it and gave us special instructions so we can, usually that is not allowed. The company has a challenge with cash prizes beginning the 10th, of course that was yesterday. As usual things don't makes sense. I just read the challenge info. That was handed out yesterday with the device. Curious to see how it really works.

Didn't sleep well, couldn't get to sleep, usually lights out means I'm asleep in about 2 minutes; not used to this band on my wrist and the dogs were restless with the high winds and kept waking me up. Winter has arrived with a cold blast. Hope everyone getting the snow is safe.

Will try for the gym, already have clothes in the car, will take them into work though so they won't be soo cold to put on. Of course will roll with what the day brings.

I got a fitbit about a month ago. I used to have a Windows 8 phone so I couldn't sync it with my phone - that plus the fact that it would go in to "sleep mode" every time I went to the grocery store had me wanting to just leave it in a drawer...BUT I just had to get a new phone since my old one broke. The new phone is an Android so I can now sync with the fitbit. I then decided to look on the web to see if anyone else had trouble with grocery shopping and as it turns out there is a big thread out there with complaints about the fitbit going to "sleep" when pushing either a grocery cart or a stroller. Some people commented that when they do either of these activities they just put the fitbit in their pocket or on their ankle. I tried the pocket idea and it worked great. I haven't set up the diet or weigh-in areas since I use this site. I probably don't get all the benefit I could from that device - but that's true for me with just about all electronics! I'm still struggling to figure out my new phone. :~}

It's going to be a learning curve. LOL! Just like any electronic gadget. I managed to print the manual. My grocery shopping is often with little baskets, just being me, so probably not much of an issue. I have to bring the little dingle/ dongle thingy to link it to my work computer. Will try to remember it tomorrow. Lunch is over so back to work

ENJOY your fitbit! I remember you contemplating the purchase of one a few months ago. ... just learn how it works slowly and carry on being active - you'll LOVE it! :)
