wholefoodnut's Journal, 27 Oct 14

My thoughts tonight. There are many on this site who get annoyed with posts deviating from the diet and exercise theme. Mine often do that, they do deviate. But I have found my weight loss journey has affected every aspect of my life.

My outlook on my life has improved. I have discovered part of my journey is dependent on feeling good about every part of my life. If I do not feel good I have a really good chance of gaining those 60+ pounds back.

Things I do to make my home better and organized, activities with my family, a stressful day at work, everything affects how I feel, how I handle stress. It's all part of my plan to improve me, improving things in my life makes me feel better about myself, that in turn leads to me being healthier and sticking to my health plan.

This is a plan to be healthier in all aspects, and much of my journey has been propelled by other fat secret members. I do not my mental state to go back in time where I felt out of control, useless, and depressed.

I leave my journal public, it is mine. I love the input of others but please don't tell me not to put my everyday life and trials in it. It relevant to me. I'm sure others feel the same.

Hey, way to go. As you so eloquently said, sustainable weight loss is about the whole package. I think we all have the choice of what to post and what to read. I have also experienced changes in other facets of life that are positive and help me stay on course. I always try to take what I need and leave the rest, and recommend that for anyone who wants to limit posts. Thanks for the note.

I think anybody can post anything they want as long as it's respectful to others. No one is better than anyone else on this site and that's the beauty of it. We are all here to encourage others, and the self appointed rule makers need to live and let live. Some people like to control. No one can dictate what one puts in their journals. If they take offense, let them not read it. Simple enough!

I'm so glad so many of you agree. I never dreamed that this journey would affect so much. I myself when I first started here would read posts and wonder why some were so off topic. I never said anything, then I began to realize, they weren't off topic they were parts of lives that intertwine with how each person is working through this journey.
