Starting off the week with a 20minutes walk before work. Need to get back into my routine. Still no gym as poison oak/ivy is still hanging around, would not want the oils to spread to anyone. Slept a bit better though not like usual. A good lunch planned, starting a split pea and greens soup after work before I start my chores. Need to do a stop at aldi's for sugar for my hummer feeders since I didn't get there yesterday, they are almost empty! Best get moving if I'm going to get my walk in.

On Saturday I had a hummingbird come into my house. It kept trying to get out by the window but couldn't. Then it managed to get upstairs in the bathroom where I caught it and took it outside. Boy are they ever so tiny. Just glad that I got to rescue it before anything happened to it.

Don't you use table sugar? I boil the water to make sure no bacteria from the well hurt the hummers and then use plane sugar. I don't put any dye in the bottles. Works great. They are the only reason there is sugar in my house.

I use just sugar and boil some hibiscus flowers in it. Turns it a pretty pink and smells like flowers. Aldi's sugar is cheaper than where I was yesterday and it's on my way home from work. Those tiny critters sure are fast.

So happy I walked this am. Monday is so much better for it both physically and mentally, no draggy start to the day.

Note to self don't skip the morning walk...drag yourself out of bed and do it!! The whole day is better!!
