Whew - thanks for mentioning the truck! I wish her good luck. I had NO idea what a mud run was and kinda thought YOU were going to go out and run in the mud. Sounded, errrr, interesting!

No worries, it's a Midwest & southern thing, there are races where people actually run through the mud, saw a video somewhere online. If you type in a search for Nikki Cantrell mud there are videos of her racing her old truck mud slammer. No photos of her new one, it's début is today.

Yup, but more because she has turned into a really good adult. She was set up to go back to school to become a dentist when she found out she was unexpectedly pregnant with triplets! Thwarted her plans. Kinzie was 13 months old when the boys were born. She has become a really good mom, she and her dh started a business that has become very successful, she went back to being a dental assistant about a year ago (she loves it), and she and her dh are using her truck as a flagship for building mud trucks as an additional business. Now many of these trucks have $30-60,000.00 or more wrapped up into them. Not road legal they are strictly for racing. Looking forward to spending the afternoon with family and many who have become friends that see I mostly during mud season.

Wow! Quite a story! I worked until my third child was born, and then decided that paying daycare for three kids just wasn't worth it! Ended up doing commercial cleaning at night so I wouldn't need daycare. How on earth does your daughter work with how much daycare must cost? The only people I know that can make it work when their kids are really little are people with high incomes like doctors that pay nannies (who don't really charge much more for multiple kids). That's really neat about their business and the mud trucks! Happy Mother's Day to both you and your daughter.

She tried working nights when they were little--did not work out. When she and mike started their business she was on the phone a lot but at home. She did all the scheduling a lot of the marketing, and all the books. They do commercial carpet cleaning, mostly apartment contracts. I was also working from home at that point and could keep the kids a day or two so she could get out and visit clients in person once the kids were in school she did most of that during school days. She could do most things from home. They now have a couple employees but she still does the books. The boys are now 12 and Kinzie 13 so no day care. They live in the country so much safer than in the city and Nikki works a few minutes from home. Mike works his schedule to get kids to sports etc. Truck still has some bugs to work out. Not surprising as the first time out. It was fun day with friends and family, though disappointing for she and dh. Good friends did well so that was a plus. Trying to figure out how to post a photo from my phone on here. Guess I first need to transfer it to my tablet mmmm will have to figure that out first. N

Must be a total adrenaline rush to ride in those trucks heheh

Guess it is. Never been in one running. Only one seat the driver's. Had wanted to ride as a few friend's trucks have an extra seat. I have seen too many heads banged around pretty hard even with all the safety gear. I'm leary now as I have a 4 vertebrae cervical fusion.
