wholefoodnut's Journal, 09 May 14

Not much weight loss talk in my journals this week but garden equals healthy eating down the road and this year lots of exercise :)). Storms skirted the western side of the river bluff, I live above the Missouri river on the eastern side of a large bluff. No rain except for sprinkles here. It's Friday...sob. Last weekday of this week off. Have a couple house things I need to take care of and then back to my weight lifting of bags of compost etc. I will be happy to get the beds done so I can work on the rest of my yard. Body feels better this am but I did take some Aleve to help get me through the day, no rest day between exercise.

No bonus in my check, they said sometime in may, no date. Budget looks ok to get my grill and at least a few chairs for my patio that I'm building. Have to empty my car to fit in the grill, incentive. Son-in-law is going to do my house repairs so it's going to cost me less than paying someone else. He and my daughter will be staying here for a few days next week or the following week, so will be nice to have a grill.

Growing your own food is a huge thing! It's definitely worth it if you can do it! :) I love grilled food! heheh

Good start, have to get back on track eating well. Little house repair is done, fruit and veggie smoothie with fresh cut basil for breakfast, yummy.

No energy left to brave the stores for a grill and patio furniture. 3 raised beds are built and filled not all today, discovered I need to put little fences with points around them before I plant anything. My yo Boston mix puppy thinks I built them just for her!! NOT!! My 40 patio bricks are laid giving me 1/2 a patio, lovely sitting here under my partially leafed out maple tree. Now to find more stones, I cleaned WalMart put yesterday! So 22 bags out of my car 24 hauled to the backyard, 40 12*12 inch stones out of my car and laid in my back yard. Hoping to transplant some chives and weed a lily bed once I rest a bit... I think I succeeded in getting some weights in today. Thankfully only in the 70's today. Perfect day to work outside.

Yep, gardening healthy food is just like talking about food. I love my little weber grill. It can handle a meal large enough for Blondie's crew or just a couple of ribs for Mushy and Me.
