Thinking off slowing the diet down, 23 months and almost 17st down. When I think back I can’t believe the path off self destruction I was on. However, I had my reasons, kinda. All in the past and there it will remain forever. Keep on keeping on folks. X

Thankyou all. We all can hammer this weight loss. Just have to really want it. No good trying to lose weight to please someone else. Do it to please yourself. I’m not an inspiration, I’m a warning that if you don’t catch weight gain early you end up f@cked erm I mean extremely unhealthy. Thanks Bubblechum, I don’t wear a lot of T-shirts nowadays, I can wear a shirt now without fear off the buttons flying off like a machine gun when I sit down 😆

Hi Gilly, aye hen, I will! Feel brilliant! Can’t remember ever haeing sae much energy. Only downside is for some reason it’s left me with insomnia. Maybe I’m missing my lass to much. She’ll be here on Friday though. 👍 o

Oh I want it Mrgscott3! I felt like I was dying last year. Not being able to climb stairs without being completely breathless. I’ve lost a little this year and I’m already feeling the benefit. Looking at your progress and image! Just WOW - making me even more determined!!!

Kitch and everyone else please it’s not mrgscott, fs gave me name, it’s my email. My name is George. Kitch, thanks pal, go for it buddy, I was 200kg, on 5 different pills a day for hypertension and irregular heart beat. Now lost 108kg in 22 months just through calorie counting and cutting back on carbs. I now don’t take any medication. If I can lose it anyone can 👍

George, so you counted a calorie and had low carb diet what about the fat? Was that low too? My brother wants to start losing weight so any tips I can take from you would be great to pass on to him. 😊

High Bubbles, I keep my fat percentage down at 12-18 %, protein around 50% and carbs make up the rest. No refined carbs, or extremely little, i have oatsosimple every morning, that’s where the majority of my carbs come from but it’s slow release and very filling made with skimmed milk. The rest off my carbs come from my fruit and veg. I started off at 200kg,( f@ck it’s even embarrassing typing that) and 1800 calories a day but within a month lowered my intake to 1500 cals then 1200 a few weeks later. Now around 1000 per day. If you choose wisely you can eat plenty on a 1000 a day. I never touch red meat simply because I can have a bigger portion of fish or poultry for the same calories and less fat. I don’t use food as a reward anymore, I buy nice clothes instead! Any other help I can give your brother please just ask.
