For AdPulley ( Hope i spelled that correctly ) when i brought this i hadnt considered a seperates set up with speaker stands either side of tv ( its a really small room ) but in the future i will upgrade to cd / pre / power amp combo with standmounts ( i think floorstanders would probably end up too bass heavy in the current room . just so this post is diet related i lost another lb today :)

Those all in ones are decent enough but yes little stand mounted speakers would also be good especially for Movies and music videos. Regarding money didn't George best say that he spent most of his money on booze women and fast cars the rest he squandered?

@ AdPully although I listen to a lot of rock / metal and prog stuff I love a relaxed sound . I trialled some naim gear years ago around 5k I think it was great detail but sounded so forward so in your face I would have tired of it . Badly mastered albums like Gary Moore " wild frontier" sounded awful . The remaster of said album is pretty good though 😁
