Good morning all, a very nice surprise for me when I looked at the nice people following me- thank you very much, a bit more motivation for me. I tried to log back in last week, but couldn't remember my password, so found this record from 6 years ago- haven't had time to read back through, so much has changed in the time since. Found a new partner, moved from a the Pennines, a lovely hilly part of England that gave me lots of exercise, to a nice little town 60 miles away in the middle of nowhere- result- in the first year here in this very flat part of England I put on almost 14 lbs and every year it seems I have something wrong with me medically..... I still have an allotment so I can grow my own veg and fruit, I have joined a local women's group and at my time of life, found myself a little job. I am now a Parish Clerk, more or less work how many hours and when I want to and get paid for it. the downside is because I don't drive i have to rely on my partner or the local buses. The local buses do not run after 6pm or on Sundays, go in 3 directions every 2 hours and it's like planning a day trip if I need to go out! But you get used to it, like everything else.
