Jalapeno Sausage Poppers
If you like flavorful, spicy food this is a quick and easy snack, that's great for parties.
Ingredients
Directions
- Pre-heat oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
- Cook sausage in pan and drain.
- Slice jalapenos open, clean out seeds and membrane.
- Mix sausage and cream cheese together well.
- Stuff jalapeno with mixture.
- Place on foil lined baking sheet, bake for 15-25 minutes (depending on how well you want them cooked).

Even better if you wrap the stuffed jalapeno with bacon before you cook it. Nice thick applewood bacon with a honey chipotle glaze brings this to 5 stars.

Sausage and cream cheese would make a great stuffing for poblano peppers, too, if you're looking to make chile rellenos.

I've done the same thing with mushrooms. So if you like the idea but not the spice, go for mushrooms.
But I might just have to try this with jalepenos. Maybe the kids wills stay out of them. lol
