Yes, give up potatoes, Weetabix, white bread rolls, Lindt chocolate balls, fruit loaf, milk chocolate digestives, fruit cake, chocolate slices, morning coffee biscuits and lemon layered slices. All things that you've eaten in the last week. Well, you did ask 😉

True. I did ask 😉 - I shall try and avoid the treats this coming week, that will be a challenge as we are away for the weekend......... ummm

Maybe save the treats until the day is nearly over, pre input the calories so you have space for the treats and have smaller portions, so you feel like you were not going without.

I've been told I'm borderline diabetic and that it can be controlled by diet, I know nothing about diabetes and assumed that the doc mean't 'lose weight and you'll be fine'. So there I am cutting out fat and having the traditional healthy light meat and fish and so much veg and salad I start leaning towards the light if I sit for too long! Lost 10kg over the last year which at my size is certainly not anything to brag about. Most of my weight is around my midriff and I hate looking like an egg on legs. Talking to a friend who is a nurse, she suggested that I my want to look at a ketogenic diet. I was dubious but to be honest, felt so unwell and tired all the time, I decided to give it a go. Started on Monday and have had a few days of the noted side effects, mainly headache, but last night I slept for a good 7 hours for the first time in months and today I feel rested and really well. My weight has been dropping although I'm sure that is partly due to lower calories but my middle does feel slightly smaller and more comfortable. I'm going to continue for the next month and see what the doc says re blood/sugar levels and take it from there. I am in no way qualified to give any nutritional advice, if I was I probably wouldn't be the size I am with the health issues I've had but it seems to be working for me, although it is very early days yet. Just wondered if perhaps slightly reducing your percentage of carbs may help you. x

LOL Doobs and good research, but probably Maria you don't need to give up all of those things, just some or any of them or a bit less, pretty much as Pvs290 suggests, though I tend not to pre-enter the treat but I do tend to try and save some snack-space for later evening and generally adjust my evening meal if I've had other things during the day that weren't as weight-friendly.

I have been filling in my food chart the day before. That way I know how many calories I am going to eat in my proper meals so I can work out if I have any room left over for treats. I usually manage to squeeze in a 2 finger kitkat and a pudding tub of some sort most days.

I look at the treats, if there is any in the house , and say to myself X3 if I eat this I will regret it tomorrow ! Having said that I've got a dinner party tonight and I'm going to gave more Prosecco as my treat. 🍸🍸🍸

You're really close to your target. If you followed Kp's suggestion of low carbs and low calories, you could maybe manage it.
