Ade T's Journal, 14 Apr 24

I have noticed some of my friends on Fatsecret concerned as theyve gained 1lb or 2 or in some cases not even a 1lb. So im doing what im doing to show you how little youve actually gained by comparison to some of us . I am now in my 3rd week of "not dieting" which will chang tomorrow as i dont want to gain anymore weight/fat.

At the end of my first diet phase i weighed in at 10st 9lb ( 149 lb )

i am at time of weighing tonight 166lbs so ive gained a total of 17lbs in 3 weeks

Yes im going to kick myself into gear now and get below 10st 9lb .

Im neither stressed nor worried about it - did it before i will do it again.
Did i enjoy the time off dieting , so - so too much junk left me feeling ill on occasion as did too much prosecco lol . TBH I felt sluggish and tired through most of it.

Wishing you all success and more success than previously . All the best

I am hard on myself if I put on a pound or 2 in case it becomes the norm week after week. I like to nip it in the bud. It would take me a long time to shift an extra 6 kilos of fat especially post menopause. But I understand your take on it too.

Anne , There's definitely a middle ground between punishing yourself and being too easy on yourself which leads to further instances of " cheating" All the best 😁.

I must admit there does come a time where you have to be hard on yourself otherwise the cycle of overeating usually continues . It's one of those habitual things for me I start eating properly and it's no effort but it can be a fight to get it 100% on track . I prefer to go super strict then have a planned refeed day occasionall y

I suppose what we both would say as regards diet is a planned break is ok but have a strict start and finish date ( holidays for most people ) . My planned time off is that one day a week 😁

I gain a lot slower but still can blow my diet. I'm glad you can get back on plan easily.
