suma-ya-c's Journal, 04 Feb 23

A tiny drop. Decided to weigh today as working all weekend and won’t get a chance to do it tomorrow. Calories definitely could be lower, but with a busy work week, I just have to accept that this is what has been possible.
- Managing to drink at least 1litre of water a day.
- IF 14/10 4 days this week
- 30 minutes daily activity
Not perfect, but it’s a start. Have a fabulous weekend FS 💙💚💛

Suma, it's a great start. Hope wherever you are it's warm. It was almost -10F here with wind chill factor -28F 🌬️🥶 I should lose 5lbs from shivering 🤣

Hi Chestnut, how are you? It’s been a while. Great to see you back. Hope things are better with you😊

@LB, it’s been about 8 degrees Celsius here, but feels quite warm after the low temps we’ve had. Hope you’re wrapped up warm🥶. Here’s to a fabulous week x

It really is Booty😂. I usually love winter but I’m sooo over it now. How’s your wee girl and turbo doing?

LB, are you sleeping better?

7 hours last night 😴 thanks for asking 😊 this hasn't been the worst winter but I've been dreaming of tulips 🌷🌷🌷

Turbo is still mad! Everyone thinks tortoises are slow...nope! He's still trying to fit through things that his head can stick into but his shell can't get past 🤦‍♀️WeeG is doing well, 11 in May, up to my chin (I'm 5'6), doing her guitar lessons once a wk at home...she was never going to b a dancer...and her dead pan one liners have me in stitches...don't know where she gets it!!❤️

So pleased you slept. Nothing worse than insomnia. I’m feeling a little overwrought. I get that like after long shifts and never know how to manage it. I’m trying to distract myself. I’m dreaming of a field of daffodils dancing in the spring sunshine.

Turbo is hilarious. Sounds like life is full and happy despite the hard year. I think in some ways 2022 was harder than the covid years. Your daughter sounds like she’s going to be very tall. I’m only 5 feet…I think she’s taller than me😂.

Daffodils dancing in the spring sunshine sounds really nice to dream of. Left a note to remind myself bf bed tonight! I'm sorry, I don't know what your work is or shifts are? Sounds difficult

Haha I think she might be, my mums 5'1 and three quarters of an inch...ur in bother if u don't remember the three quarters...and she's about the same height, my older daughter is 5'10..yep, 2022 sucked big fat pickled eggs!! 10funerals and my head was gone, mental health oot the windae, BUT 2023 is ours...nothing is stopping me this year...and I'm a stubborn wee thing...all about the positive changes ❤️💪💪

LB, reminds me of the Wordsworth poem. Or fields of gold🌼 🌼 🌼. I have one of the best jobs in the world, but we do 48 hour oncalls which are mentally and physically draining. I’ll be back to normal tomorrow 😊.

Booty, I am actually 4’11 and three quarters! I tell everyone that, and insist they never forget it. I just felt foolish writing it down. I’m with your mum🤣😂

Suma, going to sleep tonight listening to William Wordsworth's 'Daffodils' RedFrost Motivation Poetry readings. 🌼🌼🌼 Thank you, it has been a long time since I've thought of these poems 🤗 Very glad you love your job, see you tomorrow 🥱😴

I was reading Tulips by Sylvia Plath last night. Feeling very melancholy now. I forgot how heavy I find her poetry. It was the mention of tulips that got me thinking.

Wow Suma ~ Tulips always remind me of Spring. Sylvia Plath, although talented, is too heavy for my needs. Melancholy isn't an emotion I embrace. Does it serve you?
