😭😱🤯😬. Hard pill to swallow. I am the same weight today as I was 12 months ago. I think I have officially undone all the hard work of the past year. I feel angry with myself for being such a resounding failure. For letting myself down yet again on this weight loss journey. I know what I need to do etc etc. However, I use food as a drug - in good times and bad. So what is the point of self awareness if I can’t break the cycle.

Sending you positive vibes Suma! It sucks when you feel so stuck. It’s definitely a mental challenge for so many of us.

Suma. I feel you pain I’m heavier than when I started and a lot heavier than this time last year, but we have to try and try again until we break this cycle. Another way of looking at it is how much worse it could be if you hadn’t been trying and aware of what you eat and trying to do some exercise.

Suma, please be easy on yourself. I can say, in a positive way You starting to eat healthier You have self-aware You understand the roots of the problem. So stop blaming yourself and focus on the problem's roots.

A bad habit leaves a hole in your day when you remove it. So that space needs a new habit to fill the void. If your reaction to a good or bad situation is to "celebrate" or "wallow in misery" with food, you could swap it out with putting on some fun tunes and dancing in your living room, or going for a Walk & Cry to tire out those blues.

Aw Suma💙 you are absolutely not a failure, you are just still learning how to create your own healthy relationship with food, which really isn't easy. Be kind to yourself, and gently start again. You are so bright and perceptive, I know you'll get there. . .🧡💛💚

Hang in there Suma don’t be too hard on yourself it will stress you more - I’ve just eaten a bag of wine gums always a sign I’m not right ! So you not alone and enough of this negative self talk we are all fellow paddlers in the ocean of hope and occasionally we get hit by a big breaker ! But we surface and start swimming again with little strokes 💪

Weight goes up & down that’s normal due to a number of factors physical or psychological that’s just how it is for everyone unfortunately we are not defined by how thin we get or how much weight we lost what it really boils down to is our happiness so being hard on yourself Suma will not serve anything it will only affect you negatively…. I’ve gained a ton of weight & my mobility & physical health is affected by it yet I know it can be done chin up girl tomorrow is another day ❤️

Ughh I know that is so hard but just start over. You can do it. This is the longest I have maintained and everyone is different and has to find what works. You got this!

There have been some real highs and lows this year. Honestly it has been really tough at times and you’ve not done badly so stop punishing yourself. Food is the worst and best thing we reward and punish ourselves with and it is impossible to avoid. Just take time to reset and start again. Whenever you start feeling this way, take a walk and have a breathe. You need to look after your mind and make sure you’ve got enough rest and the right fuel to tackle this. We all know you can do it and you deserve the very best life for yourself 💜
