Quite a serious day yesterday and very hard work as there was lots of cakes and puddings not to eat. So I am very pleased with myself because I managed to grab a 1240 calorie deficit for the day and recover back around half of the gained weight.

Today I expect to be going swimming again for another hour of lengths - At the same time hopefully I will find an open petrol station to fill up the car with fuel as I'm planning to drive to visit my mother in Oxfordshire on Thursday for a few days. The weather looks appalling today but I'm still hoping to go jogging later in the afternoon to bag another decent calorie deficient day. It's going to be even tougher to do all this again today though It's only 5AM I am very hungry and resisting the cakes in the kitchen is getting more difficult. It's dark and raining out going for a run is not yet an option. A large cup of black tea will have to do. Message to myself resist the mountain of cakes.

It's a good start - 60 x 25 lengths completed, Car fuelled up, no elevenses cake and egg on toast for lunch. Rumbling Belly button turned on to full resist.

You will be hungry after your swim. I am always starving by the time I get home for breakfast!

Yes Anne I was hungry and had poached egg on toast for lunch so now still just as hungry. For 45 minutes Claire and I were the only ones in the pool. Max was three.

Oh nice. I usually have 3 in my lane never mind the whole pool. Sometimes that is good if you are of a similar standard but if you are in with someone much slower it can be a challenge. I always swim on an empty stomach so the hunger is real!
