Ah, ha! That's a weight I wanted to see. Third day off of calorie deficit. Hit the high yesterday and slid back a little today on maintenance. This is what I need to know. So far so good.

Went to the doctor yesterday. He'd told me my blood pressure was getting edgy a year ago at 230 pounds and that I was pre-diabetic (aka overweight). Yesterday? 106 over 64. Yeah, baby!

I laughed when the nurse told me my BP and said, "What?" Still can hardly believe it.

So very cool. Hearing something like that from a doctor who treated you in the past is an absolute mental "buzz". Good for you.

Wow, that's amazing! Was 230 your highest weight ever? You've done an amazing job. Very proud of you.

Thanks MM. Yes. 230 was the top end. I used to stumble around a lake for exercise at the weight. When the snow's gone, I'll strap on 65 pounds and see how it feels to be back at my old weight.

Hey Northern Musician, Great Work! As to walking with weight, I do something similar. I started at 335 lbs. When I got below 250lbs, I got a weight vest and started adding weights to keep my total at 250 despite what I actually weigh. It definitely helps keep the calorie burn higher and adds strength to the lower body.

Ièm rooting for you nam. - Thanks, Babe. ;) - TX. I may have to look into that. My meat of choice is moose. Come fall, I know where they are. The issue is packing them out, or dragging out the quarters on a skid a half a mile or so. The weight vest could be a perfect way of being attuned to the weight. Farmer's carry doesn't look like nearly as much fun.
