Hey, I am new here and not sure what this target calories mean? Does it mean to eat that much?

Hi Petemi if you put all the details in about yourself weight height etc this app will give you a recommendation for how many calories per day you should take. Your own personal target weight is something that you can set or adjust as you wish.

Hi Petemi if you put in your weight height etc on here it gives you you recommend intake in calories and you can also set yourself a target weight too. I hope that helps you.

Thanks Dave. It was telling me to take 1900 but I thought the red quoted for women was 2000 anyways so that would take ages to get to my destination. It was telling me 2200 initially so I was confused. If I take 2200 then how could I loose weight if that’s already more than I should have? 🤷🏽‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Do they support here at all? I have subscribed but getting nothing. Thanks Dave

Petemi it’s just a guide I use the app to see where my calories are coming from and how balanced my diet is. Your weight loss will depend on your body type, what your eating and the amount of exercise you do. If you’re not consuming enough calories that your body needs it will go into a fasting state so you will be eating less, hungry and not lose any weight. If you are exercising remember muscle weight more than fat so although you may gain weight your body will become slimmer. The best thing to do is eat when your body tells you it’s hungry but make sure your eating the right stuff and as clean as you can such as raw or steamed veg instead of fried. Best of luck

Also as you lose weight your recommend intake reduces you will find. I have used this app recommended intake as a target calorie but have normally been average about 200 per day less and I have lost 4 and half stone so it's been good for me but might not be for everyone. Best of luck with it.
