So sad hearing all the coverage of Harvey. It is amazing to me that more didn't evacuate. Though I guess many did, but of course we are not hearing much about them. I've been through a few cat. one and one just barely a 2. Those were the most I would stay for as they were bad enough.
We have lots of storms here in Missouri but they don't last for days and days.
I have a several internet friends from Backyard Chicken website who are right there. They stayed because they have animals some more than chickens that need to be taken care of. One is in north Texas and she has people from the hurricane area. I have been checking a thread there often where they have been checking in and sharing what is happening.
Tonight my job is cleaning out my small freezer, the most of it is out. It was behind the chick brooder box and I hadn't had a reason to get into it for the past month. I opened it last night to get a couple salmon filets out and discovered it had shut off sometime. I was greeted with spoiled fish, a few pork roasts and misc. other items, thankfully really not much in it, and bugs. Nasty. Major dose of bug spray. Trash day is tomorrow. It smells awful!!
Thinking of Texas and it's making me thankful as I'm facing a stinky freezer not a hurricane. I don't think dinner is in picture tonight ;)
I might get caught up someday: last week my main drain this week the freezer. Burning incense and have a pot with lemongrass oil heating up. Well back to sopping up the mess and start more incense in the basement where it is.
