It's been a pretty good week food wise. Not as much exercise as I hoped late days at work and trying to get needed things accomplished afterwards/ There simply isn't time enough in a day to still get to bed between 8 and 8:30 to get enough sleep.

I did find opting for catered in lunch one day wasn't the best thing. It was from a nearby one owner bar and grill that has pretty good food. Had a French Dip sandwich and it tasted amazing! However, I think it was too much beef for me as I had a stomachache all afternoon. I don't remember having any beef since July.

I think my plan for the coming week is to try fitting in some exercise in the am. Just means moving earlier instead of letting my body wake up slowly and doing something quiet like reading, petting kitten and drinking coffee before I move much. My body likes slow quiet mornings with no rushing.

I've been going through some of the posts this week to catch up a bit. Seems like the battles here continue with a few people trying to force their views instead of supporting the plans of others and maybe giving ideas that might help their journey. Those ideas might be used or discarded if it doesn't fit that person's life. Both are options are OK. Thankfully most people are supportive and not combative.

Those of you who know me know my thinking. You need to find a plan that works for you that you can live with forever. My plan is one that I struggled for a long time to figure out won't be your plan it's mine. Few people are insanity cooks like me. LOL.

I read an article today entitles something like The Best Diet According to Scientists. Always skeptical of such claims, I was amused that the premise was that science tells us that the best diet is one that you can stick with. Studying many different ways of eating, they found that about the same amount of weight was lost by the folks who followed the rules of the plan, but the difference came in after you hit the "finish line". If you had developed good, healthy eating habits and didn't just look at it as being done when you got to your magic number, you were much more likely to maintain you success.

Izzy, that's me I kept gaining after losing on diets especially the low carb ones as they actually made me feel awful and sick but I stuck with them for awhile. After my docs gave me an ultimatum that I was headed for a knee replacement and other health issues unless I lost weight I knew I had to find another way. I have a very small frame, lots of previous injuries and was then up to 192 heading probably for more gains in weight. It's now pretty easy for me to maintain as my plan as it is now simply how I eat and cook and it is flexible enough to eat whatever in moderation when I'm with family and friends nothing is really off limits. I've avoided that surgery, my asthma is under better control, my blood work is now within very healthy limits. I still continue to battle working exercise in though it makes me feel so good and I love it. Simply not enough hours in the day.
