Made it to the gym today, first time in a while. Interesting as I found many of the weights I was using were too light. I had to up them and did more reps than I was expecting. Came home did some work on the WOSS aimed at glutes and included 2 planks with feet in the air 2 with 12 mountain climbers each. This body is tired now. I guess the WOSS is helping me increase my strength.

I need to start spending some time every weekend going through the downstairs closets and see what fits going into winter. I need to get rid of the stuff that is just taking up space and figure out what is needed going into the fall and winter so I can budget.

Great that you can work with more weight! Good luck on sorting out your "too big" clothes.

When I went through my closet last winter I was embarrassed at how many clothes I gave away that no longer fit...happy they didn't fit, but embarrassed about the sheer number of clothes I had accumulated - many of which I didn't even wear anymore. At just about the same time we had a "closet catastrophe"...one too many hangers with clothes was put on rods that the previous owners had installed into drywall (not studs)...the whole closet system cam crashing down! THAT was incentive to go through my closet and get rid of stuff! Now our closet has been repaired (correctly) and I've gotten rid of the clothes I don't wear - hopefully blessing someone else - and I have lots of room to store other things that were in need of accessible storage -like suitcases and bedding. The task can seem daunting, but the result is very liberating!...and the whole budgeting for new clothes is important too! :)

WFN, you are such an inspiration to me. Single woman, remodeling her home herself, meeting the challenges of an older home: a zillion layers of wallpaper and fighting off racoons, then baking your own bread, making your own food, working full-time and yet finding the time to exercise and build up your strength .... as you struggle with asthma. You are Wonder Woman! You go girl!

OH my Grammy!! Crashed closets!! Good time to sort through!! I have taken car loads of clothes to the Salvation Army then bought smaller ones as clothes were falling off. I do understand. I have 2 full storage closets in the basement that many things haven't been looked at since I moved in 6 years ago...So probably more car loads LOL I've gone from a tight size 18 to size 3-4 jeans- so lots of changes over the past 3 years.

Hey Mom, no wonder woman just pluggin along. I do things in bits and pieces and struggle to find gym time, that has prompted me to invest in a few inexpensive things I can do at home. Exercise make me feel good, I start feeling crummy if I miss it for a few days. Making bread is easy, not much time just need to be around the house doing other things for a few hours like laundry and cleaning, not my favorite things..;)) Every little bit accomplished makes me feel good.

Tamarah, The WOSS attack that I have is a suspension trainer. The most popular one is a TRX because lots of gyms have it. I like the WOSS better and also the price: $50.00 basically for the trainer and the ceiling bracket with free shipping compared to $200+ for the TRX. You can do all kinds of exercise on it using your body weight as the weight. There are tons of videos on yourtube if you search TRX workouts. You can target areas of your body but it always always uses core muscles as well. You will hear "all core all the time" in reference to suspension trainers. I was using the TRX at the gym for a few things but half the time it was broken and the location it is in limits what you can do. I started hunting for an option at home. Using it 15-30 minutes a day following mostly videos on youtube {Bodyfit by Amy is my go to as a beginner} for the past month I can tell a big difference. My arms and legs are more toned and that pesky fluffy midsection roll is smaller, it's even making this 66 yo rooster neck look better. I'm loving it!!!

How wonderful to see such signs of progress at the gym! Good luck with the closet cleaning. I have a pile of "big pants" in my closet that need to get donated. :)

Good for you Izzy!! It suprised me last night especially on a couple of them that usually hurt my knees -- added 10 pounds, the last reps were a challenge with burning muscles but no pain like usual. For me the knee pain is normal when I push any limits, not a sign of injury.

My sweat pants nearly fall off now and some of my beater paint clothes are hanging on me. So some will hit the trash and will go through the closet soon enough to make a donate/yard sale pile. Kinda a nice feeling to get to a place where I am thinking of getting rid of things. In the past I always harbored them. This time no excuses not gaining it back. It is gone for good.

Faith good for you!! One pound at a time... away they go...

I still have closets to tackle but I keep a few clothes that aren't in the best shape to paint in as they get to big. Sloppy t shirts and worn jeans mostly. You don't want those sweat pants falling of while you are up on a ladder with the contractors there....dangerous and embarrassing. ;))
