The cheer competition was interesting. The girls came in 2nd in their division. GD Kinzie was the one they were tossing around in the air! She loves it! She is the one with the 6 pack as they do weightlifting and dance along with cheer.

Ended up bring the 13 yo triplets home, so I have 3 boys for the night. Not planned so ended up stopping at Aldi's for pizza and ice cream on the way home as by 7:30 they were starving and of course I had not shopped for extras. So had one piece of pizza and a small bowl of ice cream. The pizza did not taste good and one bowl was plenty it was awfully sweet.

Not much exercise, a few minutes stretching using the WOSS. The boys messed with it a little. I plan on a full body workout in the am as my gym plans again are not happening.

The mud run starts at 6 tomorrow so will get there in the hottest part of the day but hopefully it will cool off some. 9:45 and it's still 90 and humidity very high. heat indexes tomorrow again at 115 or so.

No idea what Sat will bring with teen boys. WAAY over my calories for the day. I had planned to run home and grab something after work that didn't happen so that meant fast food on the way to the competition. It will even out I'm sure over the next week so will see what the month average turns out to be.

You always maintain so well, I'm not worried for you ;-)

'Way back when' (mid-80's), when I cheered in high school it was NOTHING like it is today (otherwise, I never would have made the squad). You were considered a 'shoo-in' if you could do any sort of gymnastics (especially back handsprings and back tucks), but it wasn't a REQUIREMENT. And we were doing simple pyramids that could hardly be compared to the 'stunts' they do today . . . mostly we just jumped around and cheered during the games and performed a few pom-pom routines to whatever tunes the band was playing that year . . . Amen, Snezica -- NOT worried in the least about any 'detours' in your usual routine . . .

That's how it used to be. These girls train 4 hours a day everyday in the summer. This includes dance, weight lifting, gymnastics, then there is the 2 week camp 8 hours a day for cheer and the 1 week dance camp!! The competition routines are choreographed with a combination of music and cheers. They have had 2 practices a day for the last 2 weeks as well. Kinzie and her best friend made it into the varsity squad as freshmen.

Thanks Snezica, I try to keep my life flexible, except my job. Old plans didn't work into a real life, like you I had to come up with one that would. I might be getting a bit addicted to learning more about exercise but I have crazy life. I think the boys are going to help me move my hutch from the dining room to it's new home in the kitchen. The dang thing is huge and has 2 pieces, we have to take the top half off to move it as it's too tall to fit through the arch into my kitchen. YAY! I've needed to get that done for a long time.
