Steps yesterday 8000+. Am going to walk on the gazelle while listening to the world series. Royals have done well, win or lose tonight. Will try to stay up. Not enough fruit and veggies today.

Thankful again today. Last Friday the unloaded gun with the granddaughter today after work sitting at a stop light waiting to make a right turn (right on red is legal here) onto a 4 lane road. A woman coming the opposite way ran the red light slammed into a pick up going through the intersection. I had just taken my foot off the brake when I saw her coming, jammed the brake back on. The truck ended up just where my car would have been.

I would have normally stopped to help. The woman who ran the light was in something like a caravan, several kids in the car, she was laughing!! Looked like people were ok and lots of others around, guy waiting to cross already on his phone. I squeezed through the intersection and went to get my corn tortillas about a block away, police sirens already on their way. If I would have stayed I would have totally lost my temper at the woman. Figured safer for everyone to leave and calm down in the nearby parking lot. Made me so angry that she was laughing.

Did not go to the gym after that, probably should have.

Have gym clothes, extra jackets, cross stitch, books, all in my car. Still awaiting baby so carting extra stuff. Tossing my tablet in daily as well. Doc did what they call stripping the cervix so should be fairly soon. Hoping again for a weekend or Friday. Mama doesn't want Halloween though.

Several hours later... staying up way late for me... last 2 games of the world series.,.

Wow - do you think she was high?? I'm so glad you weren't hurt; am sorry if anyone else was and like you.. she'd have needed an ambulance if I'd seen that and she was laughing. Yikes.. the stress you're enduring and seem to be taking it all in stride. You're my idol.

No clue..about high. I was just dumbfounded and getting madder at her.

Good decision, not sticking around the scene of an accident when you're not needed. There's no reason to add more stress to your life! But take a moment to breathe in peace and gratitude for all the good things that could have just as easily turned out bad...your concussion could have been much worse, granddaughter' s scarey incident, your near-miss accident...and take another deep breath and think about how grateful and thankful you are for the good things soon to come, like your new great-grand baby. Breathing peace and gratitude helps to ease the stress away. (Now to remind myself of this advice when my life is all jiggled around!)

I cannot fathom why the woman was laughing. Maybe it was her way of dealing with her stress. I would have gotten madder too. Glad you weren't involved and you are okay. Never heard of stripping the cervix. First time for everything. Have a great day!

I would have stayed done the police witness thing and all. I could not deal with a woman who was laughing after slamming into someone. The stripping the cervix is described as a rough pelvic exam, they manually tear some of the membranes that are always torn during labor in hopes of triggering contractions a little earlier, usually within a week.

Thanks for the info. I was wondering about that.
