Knew it was going to be a rough day at work. 10 hour day, worked through lunch. Pizza was supplied for lunch, ate my own instead. Beginnings of a migraine, not enough water, and probably need some protein. Came home instead of the gym will exercise while watching the Olympics. Gym would have meant getting home after 8.

I totally understand you not going to the gym at that time! Exercising while watching the Olympics! That's great! :D I hope your migraine goes away! Maybe it doesn't like exercise lol ;)

That must have taken some self-discipline to turn down the pizza! :)

Not hard to turn down pizza. The whole department is basically sick of pizza.. they bring pizza in a lot when we have to work through lunch. Back in 2008 and the beginning of 2009 when the market crashed it was like 4 days a week, those of use who are still there can hardly eat it ever. Migraine disappeared, 2 triggers for me are less water intake and low blood sugar. 3 huge glasses of water, some salmon, asparagus, for dinner and a quick peanut butter sandwich when I came home is a magic cure. Stopped it from turning into a bad one. Worked out for 40 min

Oh lol :D Eating pizza 4 days a week will definitely make you not want it as much lol. I didn't know low blood sugar could also trigger headaches! I used to have hypoglycemia a lot because of insulin spikes. That was when I was completely clueless to what was going on and what those symptoms were. It's great you turned the situation around and managed to exercise! :)

Everyone has their own triggers for migraines. I worked with a neurologist for 2 years awhile back to get them under control, I had a constant one for over 6 months when I first saw him. The preventative meds worked but didn't like the side affects. Once the cycle was broken he started weaning me off the meds and keeping track of everything so we could isolate triggers. Interesting though since I've started making exercise part of my day last Sept. I have not had a bad one only a few nagging ones and starts of ones that I can stop pretty quickly, like yesterday. Love not having to hide in the dark and quiet and taking mega pain pills.

Wow! A 6-month migraine! :P Exercise is really great! It works miracles on so many different things! It must definitely be a huge relief to have gotten out of that situation! I'm happy for you! :)

6 mos of migraine was a number of years ago, I was still getting them at least once a week though only a really bad one about once a month. None except small very controllable ones since I started exercising again.
