The 136 held so posted the weight. Non scale is that I'm feeling less flabby.

Whew !! another sweltering August day but it's only June. Worked in the gardens for awhile, chatted with neighbors, gave one a dozen eggs by then the heat index was 98. Grocery shopping time. Home with veggies, fruits, and some other basics like flax seeds and vinegar (for cleaning).. Laundry, and a few other chores then wrapping up tortillas which probably will all not get finished today. I forgot how time consuming making tamales is, at least for me. With still getting over the neck discs the assembly is meaning multiple breaks. I need to steam the completed ones and have a late dinner. Will get 10,000 + steps in but no specific exercise.

Thanks WFN......It's not enough for weight loss, but I am just looking for pain relief.....just finished making herb waffles.....bout the only thing that is doing good here.....herbs are thriving.....will make spaghetti sauce tomorrow.....be nice not to have to buy the herbs.....not sure if I like the waffles, but can always put them in the processor and make bread crumbs so not a complete waste of time.....been watching too many Bobby Flay cooking shows....where I am getting these waffle ideas....the lemon, mint, and thyme turned out great and some of the ricotta cheese....rest of my morning will be used up paying bills UGH....that time again....guess I do need lights and gas and water lol!!!

That's a lot of chores! I think making tamales should be counted as double the amount of calories burned, especially if it's not easy on you. Tamales in Summer = Christmas in July (June). 😊

Kathryn, interesting herb waffles. Will have to look into that as I do have a waffle iron and some herbs. Many spaghetti sauces can be frozen or canned so handy to have on hand. I get the food channels--I do that as well and add in the huge collection of cookbooks. Becca luckily homemade tamales don't have tons of calories and are very filling and nutritious. I did get harassed by a man and the cashier at the grocery store for buying lard -- definitely don't want to use that vegetable shortening with trans fats...Just makes the upper back and neck stiff. Glen, don't you just love the boxes of multi color eggs? I took some down to my granddaughter's graduation for family members and several people asked me why I had dyed them. ;) Besides they taste so good.
