A concerted effort on my part this week due to the fact that the day after I had entered my weight last week I seemed to have gained 1.5 kg to 57kg. This was a bit of a shock, but thankfully today the reading was 55.5 kg. Could have been a blip on the scales I suppose, but whatever it certainly focussed me on my diet and exercise. I plan to keep at it now and no more relapses as I have my Diabetes check up in 7 weeks and I would like to be back at 53kg.

Half a kilo lost in a week. Ideal rate of loss. A good start to the new Sassy challenge.
I have also set a personal target which will last longer than the present challenge. I aim to study the seven major Chakras at the rate of one month. thus the challenge will last seven months. During each month I will learn about a particular Chakra and how to work with it. I have a great book "Chakra Work Book" to help me which includes all sorts of ways to work with the chakras.
I have already started on this journey and am presently focussing on the Base or Root Chakra or Muladhara to give it its Sanskrit name. I use meditation, visualisation and work on certain connected yoga postures to connect to this Chakra and so start to balance each of my Chakras in turn and learn something about myself.

Losing 0.7 kg a Week

Oh dear, for the first time in 12 months I am at 56kg. This is what comes of resting on your laurels. My last Diabetes check up showed that I had totally reversed my sugar levels to 41mmol. I was shocked on checking back to when I was first diagnosed 3 years ago, that the reading was 76mmol, so I have done really well to get the levels down to what is considered normal. (42mmols is "at risk").
What's more I have gradually been adding "treats" to my diet over the last couple of check ups to see if there was a point where the HbAlc levels would start to rise. However I now seem to have put some weight on, albeit over Christmas and so my absolute target now is to get rid of it and return to 53/54 kg. It would be easy to ignore a small weight gain, but I don't intend playing Russian roulette with my health, so it's back on the wagon, with only limited treats and lots of considered eating and exercise.
Onwards and upwards, stay strong and I know I can do this.
