So end of first challenge week and though I haven't lost any noticeable weight I have kept on track, apart from the odd treat that always fits into my foods for the day. Been very busy preparing for our Murder Dinner this coming weekend, and that in itself has kept me stress free. I tend to stress more if I have time on my hands and get bored, so I like to keep busy. However that doesn't mean I don't know how to relax, which is what my yoga class is about, and I always take a morning coffee break and an afternoon cup of tea break, only for about half an hour, with a magazine or crossword, to switch off from the world.

Hoping to lose that little bit of extra weight but it's not the be all and end all of my life at the moment. As long as my diabetes is kept at bay then that's good for me.

In the meantime here's the door mural that I have been painting, only part of it as it's too big Murder Dinner Party is "Death At The Distillery" :)

So today was yoga day which means for me my weigh in day and I was relieved that I was just a kg heavier than before Christmas, registering 56kg. I shall not think about what I probably was last week...I have been very mindful of what has been on my plate the last 7 days. Still I would love to lose just 2 or 3 more kg but will settle for a steady 55kg which was my constant last year. As long as I keep ignoring the goodies that are still within temptations reach and hit my target of 8-10000 steps a day (for at least 5 days a week) I shall be happy. So far all my diabetes check ups have been good and I am still managing it by diet and exercise so I don't intend to stress if I don't hit my own personal target weight.

Onwards and upwards for a stress free year

And here we are January 2019. My good intentions of October went out the window as Christmas drew near. I had decided to make hampers for all my family and so this took up most of my time, knitting bottle warmers and baking goodies, making preserves, spicy rum, or making fruit gins and decorating cakes which I had made back in February.

On top of this we had much visiting of family to do as we had been away for so long, and other catching up. So my postings on here came to a halt, in fact I didn't even open up my laptop very often at all.

I have managed to keep my weight on an even keel up to Christmas, but have to confess I haven't checked it since...Next Tuesday will be my first weigh in of the year....gulp!

So no resolutions this year, I find it easier to set myself targets on a daily basis, although I have a list of projects that I would like to complete this year, so some daily targets will be working towards them.

March will see us set off for another season of running a Caravan and Motorhome Club Site, this time at Brora, in the Highlands of Scotland, and the good new is there is wifi there so no excuses this year.

Blessed Be
