Had a bit of a health scare this week with my blood pressure being dangerously high. I've been put straight on to some medication to lower it and will speak to someone on Tuesday again to discuss the results of blood tests I went for yesterday.

Gotta say I'm not very happy about it because I have a healthy weight range, exercise regularly and eat really healthily 80% of the time, which I thought was enough to escape the family history of diabetes and blood pressure issues most of my overweight family struggle with.

Hoping to have some answers and clarity soon so I can get back to feeling a bit more normal again. Anxiety and lethargy have been bad for months now, but I put it down to perimenopause - so thought I'd be starting HRT. I'm not keen on taking blood pressure meds for the rest of my life.

So, this week I'm happy with just the maintain. Haven't been doing IF, but still trying to walk fairly often. Step count for the week so far is 30,000 so if we do two good walks over the weekend I could hit my new target of 45,500.

We're hoping to visit a National Trust estate over the weekend to walk the grounds and see the house. Got a family pass in the newspaper a while ago. We'll take a nice picnic along as well and I'm looking forward to it - if the weather plays along.

Hope you all have a good weekend! xxx

Last week was an improvement on the week before as far as walking goes. The week before I set a target of 7,000 steps a day and missed it by quite a bit. This last week I lowered the bar to 6,500 steps a day and hit it on quite a few days - it helps me to see those ticks...

I also forgot my phone at home on Wednesday so missed an extra 4,400 steps walking to Lidl, which would have given me a really nice total. But, I'm happy with the progress made.

All other goals are on track except for daily average calories still being too high, my IF eating window was just too big on most days and I only did one strength workout - on Saturday morning - which was:

Sydney Cummings Houdyshell - 40 Minute Full Body At-Home Sculpt Workout | STF 2023 - Day 16

Followed by:
Well With Hels - WAKE UP WELL 🌞 Mindful morning movement routine ☕️ My Mindful Movement

This week I'll keep at it and it helps that I have to walk around 3-4 buildings at work for the next two weeks, so it adds at least 40 minutes a day, including some stairs too. And hubby is off work this weekend so hopefully we'll do some nice walks then too.

Hope you're all having a Terrific Tuesday!

Not a great week goal-wise, but I know that making some effort is better than none at all, so...

This morning I did:
Heather Robertson - 25MIN Strength Supersets Workout
using 6.6kg weights.

No other workouts managed this week, but one is better than zero.

Did 13:10 IF for the five week days so will take a break from that over the weekend and try to increase the fasting window next week.

So far I'm just under 1800 daily average calories so the weekend will most-likely take me over - hence the small loss on the scale. Improvements will be made next week.

Step count so far is up to 26k so I need 23k to hit my target of 49k. Should be doable since I'm walking to work again this evening and we have some walks planned this weekend as well.

Water intake has generally been good and I've hit my protein and fibre targets with no problem. I've bought some plant protein to try out next week, but that's only really necessary if I get back to some solid and consistent strength workouts too.

So far I'm on 27 different plant foods for the week so that's fine with me, but will see if I can make it to 30.

I've been looking back at photos of myself in Jan and June 2018 when I weighed 62-63kg and I would really like to get back there again, but not sure if I'll make it this year. More consistency is needed and I need to get my calories in check. Otherwise I'm kinda fine with where I'm at right now and the next 7 weeks heading to our next holiday should be good.

Wishing you all a fabulous weekend! xxx
