Ugh still dealing with the effects of poor choices over the weekend. Just when I think I am going to just give up, I refocus so will just keep doing what I know is right. Have not made it to the gym because of long work hours this week. I will get there.

Happy Tuesday! Not weighing for a few days so that I do not have to see my weekend gain. Back at it today. It's a journey, not just the destination. Learning more about my body every day.

I did not weigh yesterday and did get on the scale this morning, up about 2 pounds but to be expected after a weekend of being a social butterfly. The great thing is that I feel I did not overdue anything and am happy to get back to a routine with my eating. I am really starting to enjoy making those healthy choices and I can tell just in how I feel this morning that eating and drinking does not make me feel well at all. Back to the gym this evening... I am still trying to rehydrate from this weekend, oy vey.

I did not expect to see a loss at all this morning. I had a few glasses of wine last night followed by a few beers. The retirement dinner we attended was at a seafood place BUT the menu was pre-chosen so it was fried shrimp, fried crab, fried peppers, french fries, bread... I ate very little and the most healthy thing I had were oysters which I had never had before (smothered in tartar sauce, I was scared to try them!!!). Eating egg whites this morning and trying to recover from how sluggish drinking and eating poorly makes me feel. I am trying to talk myself into getting to the gym today, I really should. I have another night out planned tonight but I will be more in control of the food choices so that is good. Have a great Saturday everyone!

By the way, I went and had that pedicure yesterday and it was WONDERFUL! And I had one piece of the Dove chocolate that was given to me yesterday this morning with my coffee. That is the longest a piece of chocolate has ever lasted! It was wonderful and completely killed my craving for sweets. It was satisfying. Slowing down and enjoying one piece is much better than taking the same amount of time to wolf down 10 pieces and not even remember how it tasted.
