Four hours out on Dartmoor today in the sunshine! The day didn't look too promising as it was very dull and overcast driving up to and past Haytor, but once we had left the car at Princetown out came the sun!! :)
We followed part of the dismantled railway line and circled Swell Tor, Kings Tor and finally Foggin Tor and the quarry before heading back to Princetown and a pot of tea in the Old Police Station Cafe. We encountered more sheep, cattle and ponies rather than people!! :)
Great day out!

That sounds lovely, Maria. It was pretty miserable this morning on the way to work (Berkshire) as well but by the time it got to lunchtime and my walk, it was warm and sunny

Foggy first thing today in the Lake District, then sun appeared and burnt it off for the morning but by just after lunch it turned grey, misty and started to drizzle! They are now forecasting arctic blasts and snow on high ground up here and in Scotland by the weekend .... and where are we heading to on friday? ... Glasgow & Loch Lomond!! Help!
I'm hoping to get out tomorrow and do my painting of a lake ... hopefully Buttermere, my favourite. Tomorrow seems to be the only really good day of the week according to the forecast.
Your walk on Dartmoor sounds wonderful mate. I love the tors.
