Had a nice week, but not great on the weight-loss front. Three meals out.... I am actually slightly down on calories over the week because I'm doing a lot of walking, but weight was up this morning due to last night's very delicious Indian meal. It will go down this coming week however, I'm pretty sure about that! And on the plus side, my waist is not bad at 30.5 inches. If I stand up very straight and hold it in slightly, I can make it 29 inches, woohoo!

We were pleased to see that our friend had cut down on her alcohol intake by switching from wine to cider. I did keep her company a little, but only one drink per night. I guess that's okay, and I am not tempted to carry on with it when not in company, so that's fine

Went out with friends last night that we haven't seen for a couple of years. We don't keep in touch closely, and rely on annual get-togethers to catch up, so we didn't know that she had a heart attack last year. She's not 60 yet. Now has a stent in, and is on seven kinds of medication and trying to exercise more and lose weight. She used to smoke too. Glad she is still with us 🙂

Excellent self-control on the cider front! And not bad weight gain for three meals out. Very jealous of your tiny waist. I hope the heart attack will give your other friend a wake up call. Not sure that an Indian meal is a good start to her new healthy regime but it depends what she chose, I guess 😊

Heidi, Sounds like you did pretty well with company all week and a bank holiday. Indian meal sounds lovely. One of these days I'll get to have one made by someone besides me.

Sounds like your visit from your friend was better than before. You did great! My husband only like Indian mild curry like Chicken Korma. He has made this for us since there are no Indian restaurants in Narnia. LOL!

Sounds like your friends are choosing healthier Ways of life as well. You should tell your friend who is trying to lose weight about FS! LOL 🤷🏻‍♀️Good job on the small gain with so many meals out!🙋🏻

Certainly, you are an inspiration to her. I love your new picture and enjoy reading about what you and Mike are doing.

Thanks all for your comments. Seeing friends here has certainly made me feel glad that I managed to lose weight. I do tell people about FS, but their eyes glaze over.... Oh well.

Love the glaze over comment!! I do the same and have for years now. They all seem to want some magic pill to "fix" them. Not happening. Especially at work, I get how do you keep the weight off-- it's easy I stay on my plan and work on it everyday. When I don't like earlier this year I start gaining it back. That's too hard is the usual comment. Too hard to track, too hard to watch what you eat, too hard to exercise. They will have the health problems or some already do even if they are in their 20's and 30's that go along with being overweight.

I do agree, Jeri. It takes a lot of effort, but it's definitely worth it.
