Adpully's Journal, 09 Mar 17

I have just had three low calorie intake days i.e. around 1500 cals per day and yesterday my lowest total carb measure of 31g -That would not have happened except the lid of the salt container fell off when my wife was salting the the dauphinois potatoes - She was not able to clean it out very well - As a result they were very very salty so I could only manage 50g .

I think I do need to keep this low carb thing going - There is a something of a conflict with my wife who says it can't be right not being allowed many veg/fruit but eat as much cheese as I want. The best way forward I think is to have fruit and veg with the family but half or third portions. Coupled with green tea I think a sub 40g carb week is possible.

Energy wise I am feeling great and do not want to lose any impetus.
i have a working day driving again today - A bit extra cash does help with the holiday fund.

I must confess, as a veg lover I find it a little hard to restrict some of the things I really enjoy eating. I'm sure you've probably looked at it already but if not, why not show your wife www.dietdoctor.com to help put some of her concerns to bed. I think the key is to have a varied diet of veg with a little fruit if you like, avoid the high carb items such as potatoes, grains (bread / pasta) and work towards a healthy relationship with meals. Eat slowly, drink water with your meal and listen to your stomach telling you you're full rather than clearing your plate. The last bit's difficult if, like me, you were brought up to clear your plate before you could leave the table. That looks really sensible now I've written it - I wonder why I'm still hovering around a fixed weight rather than losing 😂🤔 Simple answer? I've virtually no will power. You appear to have and it's showing in your trend-line. Have a great day, Ad, and drive carefully!

Nice loss. Enjoy your driving. I still haven't got behind the wheel and it will be an age before I can safely resume work, even then.
