JockoT's Journal, 05 Aug 16

Not coping with this at all. That's me back in the twos. What's worse is I had to let my belt out a notch.
Problem is, I am mainly consuming Carbs. Carbs do nothing for me. They leave me hungry (so I eat when I shouldn't), lethargic and tired. I need to get a grip.
Didn't get my morning walk today. It is raining and I have a massive wash to get done, so many trips up and down the stairs. I also have a walk to the shops later so I don't feel TOO bad about missing my morning constitutional.

Every time I look at bad carbs (cakes, bread, etc), I just imagine eating them and the scales going up and my tummy getting bigger. It puts me right off. Perhaps you could try that. Sounds like you're still going to get plenty of exercise today so no worries about missing your morning walk.

As a nearly vegan, most of my food has carbs in it. I have plenty of energy. Make sure the carbs you get are quality and dense. Hope the sun will come out for you later....it is suposed to be a lovely weekend all over UK :)

Looking back I see that Carbs are the majority in my food intake. But trying hard to have a diet that will suit me not only while I am trying to lose weight but also I hope to use the same foods in the future as a maintaining diet. Slowly does it. Jocko, I Hope you manage to get below the 'Twos' soon. Enjoy the weekend.

The good thing is that you know where you are going wrong. You will get control. x

Dropping your carbs down might help and high protein, not too high on the fats, I think it's the type of fats that do the damage too. Your be back on track and has already been said, "you know where you are going wrong". This is just a glitch, we all have them.

Hang in there, it's hard to pass on those carbs when they are around you tempting. Time to be tough and get back on the losing train. You're so close and doing so well.

I am very well versed on the science, it is just putting it into practise that is the issue. I detest veg, which doesn't help, not fond of avocados, so I tend to eat dairy for Fat, as well as cooking in Coconut oil. I eat Macadamia nuts, Pecans and Walnuts, but far prefer Cashews. It is just so easy to say, "I'll have some lean ham and cheese, What will I do with it? I'll stick it on a sandwich."!
