CatHerder's Journal, 07 Aug 15

A little disappointed my weight went up slightly. I'm trying to shake off this plateau and thought I was going in the right direction. Oh well, I'll lose when my body wants to. I'll just keep on going with the current WOE. I'm currently shooting for 35-45-20 P-F-C. The carbs are total carbs including fiber, net carbs are around 50g per day, protein ranges from 150-175g per day depending on how much I eat.

I went to the gym today. I worked on core today, mainly my girdle (abs, lower back and obliques). I also did my 10 minute HIIT. I've also been throwing in 1 set of hamstring curls with a light weight as part of my rehab. It was a good workout but I need more work on my abs.

I hope everyone has a great day and a wonderful weekend!

Don't let the number on the scale discourage you. You've been doing great and are on the right path, keep it up. Have a great weekend!

Absolutely. I've had the same problem myself, it's totally annoying! You sound as though you have the right attitude though. Just stick at it, and the weight has to go down eventually.

Yes, so many can relate to the frustration of not seeing the results of hard work appear in the # on the scale -- but as others have encouraged me (and me others), the 'results' are there in other NSVs -- we just have to focus on those victories and that progresss until the scale 'catches up.'

Great numbers, Cat. I am impressed you are still working hoard at the gym, too. It is true - we have to stay the course and hope we eventually hit shore!

Could be muscle growth with all that protein and workouts? Also watch out for the high carbs in cashews. Macadamia nuts are a good substitute. Easy to overeat on nuts though. I got out of my plateau a while back by semi-fasting for two days in a row. I read someone suggesting fasting for a whole weekend (only water), but that sounds hard! Good work on the exercise btw!
