Thanks, weight started going down again later in the day. What makes it whizz off is lamb, lots of it, I just don't have any in today and neither did Tesco (ours is shitty). Having a moderate CN tonight and I'll go lamby again tomorrow :-) (if there's any in). I'm still barely exercising as my tennis elbow's flared up so I'm only doing light box partial squats for now.

1hr of cardio every day. This can just be walking if you prefer.

Bad back so can't do that. I should try for an hours cleaning every day though, something I forget. It can and does help but I forget it from time to time.

I get bothered with tennis elbow too. It flares up if I do weights. I stick to swimming (front crawl), spinning, cross trainer or running machine when this happens. Squatting is about the only weights I can do when elbows hurt. Someone in the gym recommended 'voodoo floss' for my elbows so I am going to try that.

Lamb works best, good fatty lamb or else dry lamb refried with bacon, back or streaky bacon so you get the fat. Beef is second best but it has to be fatty organic so boutique rib-eyes are best smothered in olive oil. There needs to be a good amount of olive oil left swirling in the bowl, I have thrown a lot away despite it's being mixed with meat juices but I now have a frying pan of lard for my chicken breasts and I dump it in there. The big layers of fat and juices that get left in the remoska get filtered and the juices go on veg and the fat goes to the birds and squirrels. All of whom are thinner than me :-(

Interestingly birds, descended from dinosaurs, so consequently they don't have the ability to store saturated fat like us mammals (and lambs). That's why most birds migrate during the winter instead of hibernating, or fattening up. If you must get your energy from saturated fat (I've yet to understand why anyone would). You need to measure it much more accurately, because a 10% error in weighing the fat results in a 90% error in calories (as opposed to a 10% error in weighing carbs resulting in a 40% error in calories) I would recommend a milligram scale.

squatting kills my knees Bunty145, we are a right bunch of crocs aren't we?!! ;)

@Drullae, if you are having trouble with knees from squats, check two things. 1) make sure you are not going down to far, your upper legs should be parallel with the floor in the lowest position. (if in doubt use a chair so that your butt just touches it at the lowest position) 2) Make sure your knees do not go in front of your toes. http://y2u.be/gCuGMdLlSn4

i just got a bit over ambitious with the number of plie squats i did. we also did a hill walk at weekend and coming down hill is a knee killer for me and this was steep. a bit of over doing it, some wear and tear kicking in
