Lorneylorna's Journal, 08 Dec 23

so it seems I have to be mega strict with my eating now in order to lose any weight, no nibbles. Guess that's the joy of menopause, I will continue down this path till I hit my goal and then see if I can introduce the odd treat.

I find being post-menopause a real challenge weight wise. Also, skin seems slacker in general and just doing more and more exercise isn't the answer. I am having to re-adjust considerably. Can't say I am happy about it!!

It's hard to adjust mentally, I find I am more tired due to the menopause, but need to do more in order to stay fit. I haven't got the skin issues as yet, but that might be the stone of extra weight I am packing in at the moment. When I move in the new year, I will be helping a friend muck out her horses, hope that helps keep everything toned (or it may just break me 🤣)

I have been on HRT for 11 years, since i had a hysterectomy for health reasons. I am sure it's effectiveness is waining, as I have only struggled with energy and being able to lose weight this last year. I dread the day I am told no more HRT as I have been on it too long, I imagine the weight battle will be enormous.
