Wow. CR noted that it wasn't like me to plan on doing something and not follow through on Monday - my planned fast day.

I was feeling really dragged out by yesterday morning. My body was begging. Soo... I did some carb loading. I didn't log it. I just wanted to be free of it for the day. I know I was in excess of 3000 calories yesterday between 'regular' food, the carbs and about a half a bowl of nuts.

Due to the carbs, my weight bounced up again. This is good to know. I'm going to get back onto my regular diet today and keep my focus. It's funny that after 2 years of watching what I'm eating I'm still learning the same things - again!

I think it was worth it to feel this much better though. I love nuts. I love those good oils.

In my opinion, you are already at a level of fitness AND awareness (mindfulness) that you have a very good understanding of when and how to eat "off plan." Always glad for your wit, wisdom, and words of encouragement. Have a. GREAT week !!!!

I agree with SuccessThisTime58. You are maintaining a good weight range. Tika in your profile photo looks HUGE now.

You hit the nail right on the head. So many of us learn these things again and again. Why does food give us amnesia?

It may have not been the carbs but the calories?

Kinda weird isn't it? I think much if it is what we grew up with. Lucky me I never really liked much of what my Mom cooked... Still can't figure out my dad's corn fritters though, loved those things.

Corn fritters are such a regional thing too. If you asked 10 people you would get ten totally different recipes.

and I agree with everyone else. You are very mindful of what you are doing and it all averages out.

Great job! I'm from New England... I dread "clam fritter" time (oh-so-good balls of deep fried batter holding sweet clams: Thank GOD I can handle having only one once in a while).

The doggie is getting huge! Lookin good! Yes, this weight loss and management journey is quite a learning experience. I think being able to adjust your eating plan to allow for occasional indulgences comes from learning your habits and your metabolism through experience. You're doing great!

Oh yes, I love Cosco deluxe mixed nuts. I have a jar of them at home but eat them sparingly. That and coconut oil.

Been there...Been there...Been there! We all have....don't beat yourself up. The best part is that you let yourself have it, recognized it was a temporary solution and jumped back on the proverbial horse. I really liked what you said. "...just wanted to be free of it that day..." Maybe the reigns are a tab bit too tight and you needed to release them. That's all. No more. Your self devotion is truly great and I am inspired by your level of drive and commitment.

Chowdah< I used to LOVE clam fritters on the beach!!! Rhode Island ones were my fav!! Not the same here in the Midwest, frozen or canned clams. Corn fritters, definitely regional, I need to go through a huge box of recipes of my Mom's and old inch discs of my dad's to see if I can find those dang corn fritters.
