A disappointing weigh-in. I've been doing Atkins induction for 14 days now, and it's been an interesting experience. The hardest thing has been legitimising the diet to other people. There's still considerable stigma surrounding the word 'Atkins', which just can't be avoided.

The first week wasn't as well followed as it could have been. I went out drinking a few times, for example. I stuck to low-carb drinks, but the alcohol probably didn't help things! The second week has been a lot better, although weekends have proved tricky so far, as I've been away from home.

However, I got some 'ketostix', and my body is producing a reasonable volume of ketones - so I am burning fat! The first week was full of headaches (caffeine withdrawal I think), light headedness and fatigue, but the second week felt like normal again. I've had two or three occasions of carb-cravings, and so far I've only succumbed to half a pint of ale yesterday (it was a weekend!).

Chest: Just under 40"
Waist: 39" (!!)
Hips: 38"
Biceps: 12.5"
Thighs: 21"

Wow, so I've lost actual inches! Sod the weight - I don't care at the moment, I've actually lost inches! To be honest, the weight could be because of time of day, I've recently had breakfast, etc.

Now I'm very happy =)
81 kg Lost so far: 1 kg.    Still to go: 14.3 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.
