I'm not sure how accurate body fat percentage scales are, it says 40.2% body fat, it is coming down, was at about 50% originally, I'm sure it has to be a fair bit less than that seeing as I've gained muscle over the last 2 years. Anyone had any experience of this?

I have weighed myself recently on 3 different scales. One in the house, one at the gym and one at the pool. They have all given different fat% but similar weights. I have taken an average. There was a 7% difference between highest and lowest. I also do the US Navy Body Fat online tool measurement. Or maybe a coach at the gym has a pair of calipers? It is difficult to get an accurate measurement outwith a lab setting but as long as you get a general downtrend you are doing something right! There are good graphics online too that picture people at different body fat % that are a good guideline too.

I did the US Navy Body Fat online calculator yesterday, Gary. It came back the same as my highest scales result.
