Here are some visitors to my feeders this week that made me happy!

No real change to my weight, but it was a better week overall. I did not record all my calories every day, but I did a bit better. I also did not get to the gym. Blah... It is such a struggle when I am working so much, but I did install a step counter on my phone and discovered I seem to get between 5 and 7,000 steps in per day at work. Some days it is more. I am also lifting and carrying quite a bit, so that keeps the muscles moving a little.

Life is somewhat calmer. I still had plenty of worry and stress, but I did not ever overeat to sooth misery. That is a better choice!

151.2 Sunday... A rare dinner at a restaurant with hubby (burger and fries)
152.4 Monday
152.2 Tuesday
151.2 Wednesday
150 Thursday
150.2 Friday
150 Saturday

Averaging my weekly weight to use as my official recorded weight is still new for me. Continuing to step on the scale daily to see where I am at seems is a good idea for now. Sometimes the fact that I am more than 5 pounds above my goal weight really troubles me, and sometimes I try to be happy with the fact that I have maintained my loss within about five pounds for more than 50 months. It is about perspective. :) I need to keep some occasionally! :) Have a great week, my friends!

Love these, m! Most of my birds are absent lately. The hawk was up in the tree this morning, guessing that may have something to do with it. Nature. Burp.

Is that redhead a wood pecker?

Holy cow, that is one HUGH WOODPECKER!

Thanks, br_e_co! Katsolo, hawks are so cool to see. Sometimes I think I have a bird feeder as.... A bird feeder. Hahaha! Nature!

All the birds are at your buffet.

anonamouser, yes! Those are Steller's jays! They are big and blue and beautiful! My favorites! 😁

ACBelle and lourock1, isn't the redhead massive? It is a Pileated woodpecker. His wingspan is nearly a yard across! Largest woodpecker in North America. He and his wife come to my feeder for breakfast regularly. The other woodpecker is a northern flicker. I wish the bright orange on cheeks and tail feathers would show up, but my camera is very crappy! 😁

Nice.

I saw your pictures and recognized my northern flicker! His twin comes to my house, only one, not a pair. I sprinkle seeds on the deck and he joins the little goldfinches and sparrows and doesn't scare them away. I also get a red headed wood pecker but it's not the same as yours. I'm enjoying the birds now, the white crowned sparrows come for the winter and so do dark eyed juncos. But I can't get pictures!

Beautiful birds! I miss that here in Nev. All we have are sparrows, road runners, ravens, and pigeons. Great if you like grey.... You are doing great! Like you said, you are able to maintain your loss and I know you will be where you want to be soon. Not all exercise has to be in the gym. I'll bet you are doing more than you realize. P.S. I just saw your question about me and Sydney..I did respond.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Thanks everybody! Fritzy, I'm glad you can enjoy your birds! Outdoor "pets" bring a lot of joy! Sk! Hahah! ❤️ I wish I had "your" scrub jays! 😁 Diana, thanks! ❤️❤️❤️We do have so many beautiful birds here. I am so thankful! I really want to get to the gym. This week should be easier. I have a couple shorter work days coming up! I feel like a slug when I don't get in fairly frequently! 😁

And, BTW, I was just noticing this picture is of the female pileated woodpecker. I have pictures of them both and didn't pay attention to which I posted. 😁 The lad is even larger and the red on his head goes all the way down to his beak. Also, he has red cheeks. This girl is awfully pretty too! 😘

I have only ever seen a Pileated woodpecker - one time in my entire life -they live in the woods - they are huge birds with brilliant plumage...it is extraordinary that you have one at your feeder. Good for you.

Very jealous, I don't have a pic of a pileated. Impressed that you make the difference between male and female, that's nerdy birder category right there.
