I got on the scales this morning and they registered 75.1 kg. This needs a photo I thought so I got my phone and stepped on again and it measured me 75.6kg. You fickle old scales, your days may be numbered.

Todays carbs to try and minimise my consumption - Biscuits and apple strudel.
75.6 kg Lost so far: 29.4 kg.    Still to go: 5.6 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

I can step on the scales 3 times wen I get up in the mornings & each time thy say a different weight plus my scales are new, so annoying

Are you sure the extra 500g wasn't just the added weight of your phone? I've had this exact thing before. I had to get someone else to take the photo.

Faeryty thanks, that's a good point I had not thought of that. My phone weighs 207g so wouldn't account for it all. So far as the biscuits are concerned I just have had two for breakfast. Because of the phone weight it does mean though my actual weight at that weigh in was 200 grams less than what I put on the system. I didn't weigh my socks or pants either. I do have another set of scales but they generally weigh 300g heavier and were not what I used when I started. I will have another go at the weight lottery tomorrow.

They are about 110 calories and 16 grams of carb for each one - I have certainly eaten twenty in a day before. Altogether that's 2200 calories! I have managed to resist them myself only by going out for two runs. Latest plan is that I am try to set myself a daily carb limit of 150 calories. In desperation today I piled my plate up with 250 grams of gammon to make up some semblance of a decent protein count just to stop all my new muscles from just falling off.

And I just love the fact that your wife is actually testing and cementing your reserve with putting diversionsin your way! That is SO MUCH more helpful than banning gorgeous treats! It’s YOU in charge and YOUR choice! You are absolutely in control and blooming well healthifying yourself!

Yes ideally I would have no cakes around to tempt me but also do understand that cooking is Claires primary hobby. She is a great cook and truth is that I am spoilt. If the temptation for cake gets too high for me during the day I can easily just go for a walk/run.
