John10251's Journal, 26 Oct 19

Yesterday I was a landmark day. I have been a diabetic for ten years. Yesterday I got the lab results from my last doctors visit. My A1c is in the normal range for the first time since my diagnosis. Yesterday was also a lift day. I ate under goal, far exceeded my protein goal and met all activity goals. BF down 0.2% and is back under 1% out of range...

Oh, John, congratulations from the bottom of my heart! If anyone deserves this, you do! Steadily you make such good choices and are a tremendous example to all of us. For those of us who don't have super examples in real life of consistently making choices to improve or protect their health, you truly inspire us!!!!!

Thanks Melissatwa, Fritzy, Shirfleur, Adultosaur, Jcmama, Erikahollister, Kpwcalories and Jengetfit!!! One A1c reading in range does not mean I'm no longer a diabetic but it is progress. I have been so encouraged by others here who have reversed their diabetes. This is the only place that I have found other people who have actually done it. Every time I thought about settling, I would think about what so many others have done here.

Congrats! Get a wet eye every time I see this. It is a major change to the better. Recently I read a controlled study where two groups of men followed exactly the same food and exercise routine. The only difference was that one group exercised before breakfast, and the other after breakfast. The group that exercised before breakfast had a significant improvement in insulin sensitivity, the other group not. After reading the study, I now do exercise before breakfast, and think with myself...want better sensitivity.
