Day 2 of a planned 2 day 'no solid food fast'

Blood sugar 89 mg/dL

Why did I gain a pound? who knows. Doesn't matter. I planned to only drink Green Tea all day, but I got really bored at work and had a 🥛 protein drink with a LOT of heavy cream. Next week I plan to completely cut out protein drinks at work and only have Green Tea and Fat Bombs (thanks @Baskington!). Let's see how that works :)

🚂 Travelling today. Don't trust myself to not start binging due to the stress of travelling so I will be on a no solid food fast today. I'm carrying my protein powder and my hand mixer with me so I just need to get some heavy cream and water (and a huge cup) when I get to the hotel.

🏋🏾 Tonight I will hit the hotel gym, but since I do not expect them to have a weight bar, I cannot do the two lifts that I care about (squats and deadlifts). But, not missing my weight lifting sessions is the number one reason I have gotten any results.

I'm on the train. Bored and want to hit the dining car. But no I am on a fast. This is why I fast. If I just got a little something in the dining car I could easily consume 50 carbs and 500-1000 calories and it is only 9:00am in Los Angeles! There is no way I am 'hungry' right now. Even if i were hungry, do I need 500 calories? I think I will just allow my insulin to lower some more from the protein coffee I had this morning.

nope, you don't and you are going to stay strong, I have not had anything today except for the little bit of canned salmon to get my calcium dose this morning. and tracking my numbers with the meter. interesting to see it stay so stable after exercise. try to relax and enjoy the trip. I have been drinking the coffee today with just the sweetener and while it is not as enjoyable it works for my needs!

@nikeit - I will make it, but not with 'flying' colors :( I got to my destination and ordered a white chocolate mocha. I should have put it in Fat Secret BEFORE I order it because it has 60carbs! WTF?! A weeks worth of carbs! Ouch! I wanted to just have a protein shake, but my room at the hotel is not ready yet, so I couldn't make it... Anyway, still 'no solid food' today...

Okay - so the flying colors are at half mast after your yummy sounding white chocolate mocha - at least I hope it was absolutely delicious! Just consider it as a special treat for having to redo your presentation and move on to the gym :) I know you'll recover from it anon!!

I'm a faster too with my own twists that work for me. Definitely stay away from the food... I have a 4 hour window I eat every day at the moment around 4pm - 8pm. Too much too early as you mentioned will screw up your day. Be safe 🧠🧠🧠 🤩🤩🤩

There are so many hidden carbs/calories in coffee drinks. Starbucks mobile app is eye opening!!! Good luck with your presentation!

I appreciate all the support. I was so going to break downbyoday and order 1500 calories from room service, but then I would have to log it and you guys would be like, 'what happend?' So I went to the hotel gym. now I am not hungry. I'm going to bed early! @CrashTestDawnie - Tomorrow is croissant day!

great control and yes exercise does help a lot with food! Have a big breakfast of steak and eggs in the morning!
