Today a month ago I started my weight loss journey. I wanted a gastric balloon inserted as I thought I was not able to go to a very low-calorie diet without extra help. The clinic could not insert it as they saw spotted erosions in my stomach, this ended up being a dangerous bacteria called H.Pylori, I didn't have any pains or symptoms (scary eh?). I'm on a strong course of antibiotics and pump inhibitors. I definitely need to make sure those little buggers leave my body.

I weight myself today, it is 79.9. I'm happy because:
- I'm now in the 70s numbers
- I have lost more than my target goal in my first month (6.5 kilos , goal 6.0)
- I feel the difference when I use the stairs, became less agitated
- I have drop 1 size in clothes.
- Not obese and now in the Overweight range
- I've saved £2k as they could not insert the gastric balloon

It has been a difficult start (first 2 weeks) but it is manageable now, I've noticed my hunger is much less than a month ago.

Next mini-goals:
Go down to 78.0 before I go to holidays
Came back from holidays with no more than 80kgm weight
79.9 kg Lost so far: 6.1 kg.    Still to go: 15.9 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

You've done fantastically well considering you thought it couldn't be done without an operation. Very impressive!

Fantastic, keep it up! So maybe not fitting the balloon was a blessing in disguise as you learn how to do this without the artificial help :)
