Bad news. During the endoscopy they found a mild eroding gastritis and decided not to insert the balloon. I have felt depressed today and I have been in bed all day not eating. This has sabotaged my plans and I don't feel I have the stamina to do the usual diet and exercise again. I have too much weight to loose that it seems impossible.

Whatever you have to lose, you can do it, even if it seems insurmountable. We are all here to support you. Is eroding gastritis something that can be corrected, meaning your procedure could take place later? Sending you a *hug*

Hi, alphathruzulu, thanks for your comment. Yes as it is not an ulcer it can be cured, but also it means I'd have to keep on eye on a regular basis. I hope the PPI medicine heals it.

I had haemorragic gastritis and duodenitis. PPIs sorted those so I'm sure you'll be able to make a full recovery.
Have you been told they'll reconsider the procedure at a later date? If so, you have something to work towards and a little extra preparation time.
My BMI was 47 only 8 weeks ago and it's almost out of the morbidly obese range. All without any surgical help. I'm absolutely sure that you'll be able to make some amazing losses in the meantime too. Stay strong :)
